Non, je ne regrette rien.

Live "Voyager" before it, I'm glad more fans are now discovering "Enterprise". I think it struggled in its initial airing because it is frankly very inside baseball -- if you don't know the various factions and some of their history, you're getting thrown in the deep end of the franchise's lore.

I was totally an Enterprise fan and, frankly, a fan of everything since I started watching first run TOS when I was 4. It’s in my DNA. So, yeah, inside baseball. Which reminds me: I’m reading the Name of the Rose and I’m totally getting Eternal Gallery and Archive vibes. Was Eco inspiration?

When I wrote columns for blogs, I had two “family members” I used for comedic foils, my cousin Jesus Hachecristo, a Texas trickster, and a profane barfly, Jimmy “Barstool” Grobnik, a quintessentially Chicagoan homage to the Mike Royko character “Slats” Grobnik.

New writer, avidly devouring the website and blog. I’m tremendously grateful for all the information!

Before I’d had a formless, nameless dread of the business end. Now that dread has both form and name.

So, thanks?

Is Darkness your old friend?
Do dream visions become idees fixe? Can you actually hear silence? Is that what’s got you down, bunky?

Well stand up and cheer for Garfunklimon! Weed out your implanted visions! Unfriend and ghost Darkness! And tell Silence to shut TF up!

This.

When Johnson was giving him a game ball he referenced it obliquely.

They knew who WR1 was last night, and while it wasn’t as traumatic as the Charles Martin hit, it’s from the same place.

I’d like to think he’d rest in week 17, but I’ve got a feeling, even if seeding isn’t at issue, they think they owe Detroit some payback.

I don’t see enough coverage of the dirty shot he took to the kidneys early on, and how this is, as DJ says, “at the end of the day, F the Packers.”

Bobby Douglass still holds the 14-game season QB rushing record.

Let’s honor that.

1491- loved it!

My current project was inspired by seeing a later reissue of Magna Carta: the exhibit spoke of King John and Runnymede. I said to myself, “You know who would have been all up in King John’s grill?” Robin Hood, as hist-fic, replacing Robert FitzWalter.

Bought on your recommendation!

Need it for a future project connected to a current hist-fic project and I need to know who I can kill without butterfly-effecting someone I’ll need later!

Thanks✌🏽👍🏽

I don’t let AI do ANY creative. Every sentence, plot point or milieu beat is mine. I do ask it for things like: “give me a list of typical villein men’s first names in the late 12th century Midlands”
or
“tell me what we know about Richard’s movements from his coronation to when he left England”

[In a re-imagining of Robin Hood as hist-fic]

Tuck shook his head dolefully. “You know what they say, lad: history is a polite fiction, agreed upon.”

“Not the way I sing it, Father, dear,” Alan said softly. “My history is subversive fiction — and it rhymes.”

Everything rhymes in Welsh if you throw in enough ll, dd, w and y.
