We don't need the superlicense points system. It has done massive harm to the European junior formula ecosystem, and for what? F1 teams can be trusted to hire qualified drivers, especially in the cost cap era. Raising the minimum age to 18 was enough, let's get rid of the whole points thing.

F2 is a broken mess of a series, from the machinery to the format to the huge performance disparaties. It's a joke and a crapshoot compared to something like Super Formula. FRECA is a huge downgrade from the old F3 European Championship, if only because of that horrendous Tatuus chassis.

If you want to even have a shot at F1, you now need to spend ridiculous cash on a decent seat in F2 or F3, which obviously greatly benefits the people in charge of these championships.

Unfortunately, this monopolisation has also just ruined the feeder series ecosystem.

But the prices for seats in these championships have skyrocketed, because of monopolisation. The SL system has killed off competing series by awarding them fewer points, especially at the highest levels. Formula Renault is dead, and Super Formula and IndyCar are no longer viable routes to F1.

You *need* to pay for top seats to make it to F1 because you need good results on paper to get enough points, and the performance disparities between teams are huge. You're almost certainly not getting top 3 in F2 with Trident or VAR, no matter how good you are.

Besides, someone like Nikita Mazepin still slipped through the cracks because he had the money to buy every possible advantage in GP3 and F2, and so he could just about scrape together enough points.

And that's the thing: these championships are pay-to-play and pay-to-win.

The idea that we need the license points to prevent teams from hiring wildly unqualified drivers is nonsense, because 1) teams had already stopped doing that by 2015, and 2) the driver that promped this change, Max Verstappen, was obviously qualified for F1 and didn't need to be kept out.

His dad, Ben Pon Sr., is credited with sketching the first ever concept for the VW Type 2 van. He was also the first to sell Beetles outside of Germany and his eponymous company is still the VAG importer/distributor for the Dutch market today.

It's amazing how underwhelming it ended up being all things considered, I honestly think I enjoyed 2024 more than this
December 7, 2025 at 10:20 PM

December 7, 2025 at 10:17 PM
2019 en 2020 waren zo peak, mijn favoriete jaren honestly
December 7, 2025 at 10:05 PM
The rookies were great though, I loved that part
December 7, 2025 at 10:03 PM
oh en ik zal Zak Brown nooit vergeven dat ie me daadwerkelijk even pro-Verstappen maakte, ik voel me vies
December 7, 2025 at 9:57 PM
't was wel even grappig maar die 24 races waren er minstens 8 te veel, ik ben uitgeput

ik hoop dat McLaren volgend jaar dogshit is want weet niet of ik nog zo'n mid-off aan kan

I'm just happy the season is finally over honestly, even with that close title battle this one felt aggressively underwhelming to me. Most "nothing ever happens" season of all time I fear

I think it's because of the Monza swap, which cost Piastri 3 points
December 1, 2025 at 8:38 PM
The new GB3 chassis is also made by Tatuus, frustratingly
