Cleaning out my home office today threw up these! One of the best examples of how I used to illustrate price mechanisms governing the sale of branded versus generic products in elementary micro lectures. The best before dates on both cans: February 2006!!

A first rate political biography of a failed PM, a semi biographical novel, crucial reflections on the role of hope in wellbeing support, and a wonderfully constructed game-theoretic discussion of how to be happy.

All 4 authors are great story tellers. All 4 books enjoyed thoroughly in 2024.

Bluesky now has over 10 million users, and I was #6,105,534!

OK, it took me a while to get here, but delighted with my decision 🙂

It's been a while since I have been so absorbed by one book. Finished 'Truss at 10' last night. Most of us knew Truss was totally ill suited to the PM role, and I had little solid evidence for my own view. But Seldon offers concrete and irrefutable evidence and lays it out masterfully. A must read.

If Seldon's book on Truss is anything like its billing I expect to be absent from here for a few days.
