I don't know. I like movies I guess. Some day I'd like to write one.

I also collect and restore old Apple computers. And I love to cook. And I sometimes paint Warhammer 40k minis.

My local theater has mystery movie mondays where you can see a movie that’s not out yet for $5 but you don’t know what it will be until it starts.

Tonight we got Sisu 2. This should be a wild ride.

I think I'll make it a double feature. After all...why not? Why shouldn't I watch it?

I love me some John Carpenter

Just getting started but Chopping Mall might be the greatest movie ever made...

This score is amazing. Its just like a centimeter off from porn music from the 80s, but thats just enough.

No longer being unemployed has definitely slowed down my movie watching, but i think the tradeoffs are worth it lol.

The Last Starfighter is a movie I've always heard fun things about. Time to cross another sci-fi classic off the list.

Cancelled TV show you never stop thinking about.

Season 1 of Counterpart is one of the best single seasons of television I've ever seen. Probably top 3 or top 5.

Ok now that Kraven is thankfully over, lets follow it up with something I've actually been looking forward to.

Time to get this one out of the way. So far this seems way worse than Madame Web. At least Madame Web was hilariously bad at points. This one just seems...boring...

I dont know why, but Spader almost reminds me of Mickey Rourke from Rumblefish. Theres just a delicate softness to the performance that i wouldn't expect.

I've always wanted to stay at the Chateau Marmont. This movie has a very voyeuristic feeling with the way we just linger on scenes while nothing really happens. Seems like a great slice of life story so far.

Im only about 10 minutes in and this might be one of the worst movies ive ever seen. Every part of this sucks out loud.

My theory that the Russo's can't make a good movie without major studio oversight feels more correct with each new movie they release.

Ok, time to finally finish out the Dollars trilogy. I never really liked westerns, but these movies have been absolutely brilliant so far.

Life has been pretty hectic since starting the new job, so I feel like I've fallen behind on my movies. One might say I've been...slacking 😎

So lets get back into it, shall we?

Not everything we watch needs to be some brilliant auteur piece. Sometimes we just need to see Frank Grillo shoot stuff.

February Letterboxd recap. More westerns, more Cronenberg, more De Palma, and my least favorite Kathryn Bigelow movie.

I really wish this movie just picked one genre to be. Its decent at the several that it tries to take on, but its bad at shifting between them while maintaining a consistent tone

Time for some dumb fun. The Descent is an AMAZING movie so im excited to see what Neil Marshall does with something a bit more action oriented.

Always love picking up an older Val Kilmer performance. Curious to see what we get from the cinematographer who did Close Encounters, The Deer Hunter, and Blow Out, among other things.

#FinalFantasy 1 in the books. Haven't played this game in probably 20 years. Its a very interesting game, and it was fun to see the origin of many things that would be carried on in future titles. Now to get rolling on the 2nd game.
February 18, 2025 at 1:11 AM
Hmm, they added #FinalFantasy 1 to Apple Arcade(and FF4!)

Starting it up. I think this year I'm going to make a run through as many FF games as I can in order. I've never even played more than a few hours of 2, anyways...

I feel like this movie should be way more popular. Its like a proto Rocky Horror Picture Show. Early De Palma is so good.
