Odds Trump pardons this guy in exchange for some of that laundered money (as a campaign donation or East Wing upgrade donation)? Or maybe pardon him as part of Trump's coordinated effort to declare fraud, embezzlement, corruption, & money laundering essential (& legal) facets of The New Golden Age?

Equally disturbing is the fact that Alito is making these thoughts of his public. That's a huge no no for a SCOTUS justice to assault the integrity of the institution by brazenly showing off as a political actor w/ set views that will not be changed by any sort of rational legal argument or analysis

On second thought it would probably be the federal DOJ that would handle the prosecution, and given this particular DOJ's set of priorities, I would sincerely doubt that they would afford her any due process if they were truly interested in going after her and not giving her a free pass.

How convenient Noem gets to decide if a court order is worth complying with. What Constitutional provision entitles her to ignore legitimate, lawful orders of court, whether or not she has some beef personally with the judge who issues it?

Trump attorney, come Article 3 lifetime judge Emil Bove, was an investigator that built up the case against this narco terrorist's brother "Tony", so I fully expect Trump to demand impeachment proceedings to begin immediately against Mr. Bove for not anticipating this pardon! Lol

Obviously it's regrettable that instead of drawing down the troops in advance of the absolute deadline imposed by the court, this administration has chosen to increase their presence by 500, when this incident can be reasonably considered to have been caused solely by the Natl Guard surge in DC.

Aside from the verifiable fact that this White House & Dept of Defense have been taking steps for months now consistent with intermediate phase "ratching up" changes absolutely necessary for success of a US constitution-destroying military coup, we don't want our military to act this unlawfully....

Now he wants to add an additional 500 troops as a gut reaction to this shooting, at a time when he should be drawing down the troops for the court order, failing to see that most likely the mere presence of the troops is causing such events as this shooting, meaning more soldiers = more shootings

Not sure, but if I had to guess based on the tone and mood of the sketch (dead trees, semi brutalist architecture on the building, I'd guess that's a small ICE detention center that doubles as a covert domestic CIA extreme renditioning facility

47's failure to respect the court ruling (that the Natl Guard siege of DC must end) by waiting until the last second of the absolute compliance deadline means Trump is directly responsible for those Natl Guard members being in the line of fire when they could have been home well before Thanksgiving.

This whole White House-caused fiasco reminds me of the Game of Thrones character Ray who abandoned the soldier's life to join the clergy -- he was so disgusted w/ himself for atrocities he committed under orders, horrors that no law or morality, except unbridled malevolence, would ever countenance.
