Paris, France. Ecosocialist and proud Aspie. Environment, humanism, economics, society and hope when I can muster it.
Not sure Jeremy Corbyn was particularly seeking right-wing press endorsements...

I don't think they would say that.
Some may believe that it's not happening.
Others that the UK is too small for its emissions reduction to be relevant.

So, foolish or morally vile. But I guess most are not that sanguine about the consequences of climate breakdown.

It's amazing how they can be so adamant everything is due to wrong Boden policies but can never specify which policies were the problem...

Is he talking of the public option, which republicans nuked from orbit?
November 10, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Sorry but no, he keeps repeating it, so it's certainly not unheard of.

It never happened and will not happen, sure. But by now it's a lame, repeated story...

Well, what a coincidence...

Er, if they are always going to block every attempt, there is no "working together"

It might yet be a devilish trap (because the House would have to vote on it, which forces them to reconvene, and even that would only fund until January), but for the moment, the optics are horrible.

It's meant to be democracy, not war...

It's worse: they would very quickly have got direct evidence that Trump was ignoring a court order.
For which he would have had to be held in contempt.

Et quelques autres raisons encore (je découvre son existence avec ce message. Quelle femme !) ..

Et pourtant, chose incroyable pour une pionnière de l'aviation, elle a eu 88 ans !

I’m old enough to remember when the BBC used old footage of Johnson at the cenotaph, to cover the fact that he was hung over and looked like a burst mattress on a tip.
The DG didn’t resign though

Exactly
Even people in his party should not necessarily agree with everything. Nor should he be precluded from evolving his positions with new information and debate.

But at least, you get the impression that you know what he stands for, and that's what democracy needs to allow informed votes.

OK - but I was comparing the drop in methane calories (brought to zero) to the additional electric power, from the 2 years before change to the 2 years after (the period when no other changes were made).
Unless the changed damaged the boiler's setup, that should not affect the outcome, should it?

Wonderful!

You're being unfair.

They have not done anything in good faith LONG before Ttrump became president (certainly since 1998 if not earlier).
November 10, 2025 at 8:05 AM
That's wonderfully kind of you!
We have someone coming for an assessment in the next few weeks so I'll likely keep that option in case there is no improvement.
But will he be able to help remotely? I live in France...

C'est choquant et dramatique qu'un media d'état s'adonne à de la propagande de droite dure, mais je s'agirait-il pas plutôt de France Inter ?

It was done by the manufacturer (Daikin)... But I guess I could always contact someone.

It runs regularly in winter. Then almost not at all the rest of the year, once my thermal solar panels start taking care of hot water (of which I make an economical use).

But if not, then it's debatable whether mine achieves any good, since that's when it runs, and of course the electricity needs to be generated, and the marginal power plant is fossil and subject to the Carnot cycle, which typically wastes over 50% (can be improved if it's a cogen).
