Like to get out and about in nature as much as my health allows (long term ME/CFS) so expect a mix of landscape/wildlife photos and venting about politics/current affairs
Piers Morgan's opinions are irrelevant, he has no expertise, represents no constituency and has no useful insights, he's just a hack permanentky in search of publicity..... he adds nothing to any #newsnight panel

Mistakes/bad decisions always going to happen in extreme situations, thats why its important to have adequate planning/resources in place for potential emergencies-unfortunately investing time/resources for things that may never happen seems incompatible with government "efficiency" #newsnight

Has Labour already forgotten about Caerphilly, Plaid Cymru won 47% of the vote in a previously safe Labour seat....they were the only major party NOT blaming migrants for all our problems.... I sincerely hope Labour get thoroughly stuffed by PC/SNP/Greens/LDs in May #Newsnight

A recent Simon Reeves programme on BBC showed how in Denmark if too many immigrants are living in a single area, they call it a ghetto and forcibly relocate people from their (settled) homes, in the name of integration.....this is not a system we want to be emulating #newsnight

Another good newsletter from @willhaycardiff.bsky.social .....sobering stats on poverty, unsurprising stats on uk news coverage of Welsh politics and a few examples of NRW failures. Already looking forward to the next one.

3 things Starmer could do instead of camps in old barracks that would actually WORK👇

1. Create safe, regulated routes to apply for asylum in the UK

2. Let asylum seekers WORK & support themselves

3. Fast track status for people from obviously unsafe countries

This from X is a striking example of what I argue in today’s column. Reform and the Tories are out here gleefully saying disabled people on Motability should be forced to drive a 3-wheeler, like a scarlet letter. The stigma is not an accident - it’s the design.
