I fully believe small town/rural protests are hugely important. They don’t get the media play. They likely don’t get as contentious. But they require a different kind of bravery and carry different risks. They also show a sea change.

Has any mainstream news made much noise about police just shooting less lethals at people - including reporters - unprovoked? Sure seems like there's more of that than there is actually violent protesters. If the Rodney King video happened today in the middle of a protest, the media would shrug.

It's tough to refer to someone as a criminal if you've given them no due process to determine whether they're a criminal. Like if you get arrested and get a trial and are convicted of 34 felony counts. That's due process. You can call that guy a criminal.
