Update: A 28-year-old Belgian man has turned himself in after throwing a full water bottle at Mathieu van der Poel during Paris-Roubaix. The Lille prosecutor’s office has opened a formal investigation into “violence with a weapon.” Police are proceeding with case.

I only met and chatted with Bill once, and of course a “friend” noted to Bill that I was coaching in Lincoln and sitting in the south stands when the Huskers put up 48 points in the 3rd quarter on his Buffs. Bill couldn’t have been more kind and gracious given that intro. RIP

Erik Sullivan has been named the new Women's National Team Head Coach.
He served as an assistant coach at Texas since 2011 and was also an assistant at Nebraska and Colorado. Sullivan played in the Olympics twice (2000, 2004) for the men's team. usavolleyball.org/story/usa-vo...

I'm no fan of self-driving cars but I interact with Waymo robo-taxis daily and must admit that their algorithm keeps getting better. Last night as I filtered past one rolling slowly in traffic on Abbot Kinney it shifted left a foot when it sensed me, which is more than any human driver would do.
