I was forced to flee again.
Now I’m in another refugee camp, in a different country.
Still struggling, unsafe and waiting to be seen,heard or protected.

It’s been 4 years of fear, of strength, of surviving what no one should have to.
I have no home though I still have my voice.

Exactly! And yet, every time we point it out, they clutch their pearls like it’s brand new information… Imagine

Many LGBTQ+ Ugandans have fled the country, seeking refuge in places like Kenya, South Sudan, and beyond often facing continued discrimination and insecurity.

International human rights groups and activists have condemned the law, but the Ugandan government has remained defiant, framing it as a defense of “traditional values.”

The legislation imposes harsh penalties, including the death penalty for “aggravated homosexuality” and lengthy prison sentences for same-sex relations, advocacy, or even failure to report LGBTQ+ people.
