I know I'm probably overly paranoid of making sure I'm muted, but if you aren't and you're going to talk while in attendance at least double check please.

So this way instead of the student asking, they can say "this piece of paper says I should ask", which removes a bit more of the barrier. Particularly for those that come from a background where money is a difficult topic.

One of my main goals when we wrote this was to help students feel comfortable asking PIs about things like money. Even though we tell students they can/should ask about these things, it may still be uncomfortable.
