Whenever I needed a strongly fluorescent sample that had some structure and depth, I simply grabbed a fresh leaf outside. This was multiphoton, but there should be strong autofluorescence in 1P as well.

I might be a bit biased, but Maiman (also a race to be first with Prochorow). The laser unlocked so much research.

WAY more things in the database (like 1000s more). more FPs, dyes, filters from all providers. (The thermo viewer is primarily their own products). share/restore/download state.

plus, it's open source, non-commercial, and accepts contribs

I just saw this. A out three hours ago I noticed I couldn't toggle the display of 2P spectra. Now I wonder if there might be a link to the update? Everything else was behaving as usual.
