Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago will continue to recommend hepatitis B vaccines to newborns within 24 hours of delivery – when immunization will protect the largest proportion of infants – as recommended by the Chicago and Illinois health departments, said Larry K. Kociolek, MD, MSCI.

The hepatitis B vaccine is “safe, exceptionally effective, and one of the great success stories in modern public health,” said Stephen Patrick, MD, MPH, MS, a neonatologist at Children’s Hospital of Atlanta, who said he will not change how he practices because of the ACIP vote.

In MA you have until 12/23 for January coverage. In CA, MD, NV, NJ, NM, RI & VA, you have until 12/31 for January coverage.

In every state except ID you’ll have until 1/15 or later to enroll (or switch plans) for coverage starting February 1st.

Law enforcement has not identified the sources of the new wave of threats, but many of Trump’s targets say the president provoked them with over-the-top accusations of criminality on the part of Democrats and betrayal on the part of his fellow Republicans.
