Just a guy who loves the bush, living on Wadawurrung land in Ballarat. I take photos, shoot video and build interactive experiences for work and fun.

Technical 3D Artist, Senior Geospatial Analyst.

Grading/editing is my own.

No AI slop 🤮.
No offence Lisa but I've been at or below the poverty line for my entire life. This isn't a new situation.

Tech and IT workers in Australia typically earn retail/hospo wages unless you're in the C-suite.

Could Google not really being part of the Nvidia "situationship" lead to the bubble popping?

Whatever the measure, they seem to be advancing the fastest and at a fraction of the energy and cost of others.

I feel they are probably the most likely to innovate beyond garbage LLMs as well.

This dude's entire page is AI slop.

Pretty soon the entire internet is going to be solely crap like this.

These textural artifacts (horizontal lines here) are a hallmark of AI generated images.

Both of you in that thread asserted that Hezus would be worse off. But it doesn't look like either of you asked about their situation at all.

I would have muted both of you honestly and not replied.

I read the whole thread Colleen, I follow Hexus because they live in Ballarat like me.

And they are right. Rentals here that are cheaper than owning are basically slums and you spend tonnes of money heating them.

I'm also buying on the 5% scheme around mid-year and prices are around 500K.

I lie when strangers ask me if I own my property because they treat me completely differently. Poorly if I admit that I am renting.
My wife and I were ready to buy before COVID but then my field kinda collapsed here in Oz 🤷‍♂️

More importantly there are countless, skilled professionals in 2025 out of work, skilled in IT, engineering and more.

Let us use our skills to better our country.

The private sector jobs aren't coming back, they have been off-shored and the few on-shore jobs are oversaturated with applicants.
