Just a guy who loves the bush, living on Wadawurrung land. I take photos and shoot video. On occasion I post about local environmental issues.

Activism is a real world activity. I have zero tolerance for online reactionary hyperbole.

Block AI slop 🤮.
I'm so glad I left corporate last year to start an electrical apprenticeship.

"lol" it has worked for me, Dr online.

You could suggest those things in addition to what I've posted, certainly. You could work in solidarity with those on the same side of politics as you, or you can post like a smartass and look down your nose at everyone.

Won't work, that coalition would just be competing for the same seats. PHON can't form government unless they make inroads into metro seats.

LNP is currently dead in the water.

Distribution of votes and seats is heavily in the ALP's favour. Demographics and time favour the Greens and independents.

There's no chance Labor lose the next election. But that shouldn't dishearten us. A Green wave could make the ALP a minority government and push politics in Australia to the Left, while blunting the the rise of PHON.

Two years to go, that's plenty of time to make it happen.

All good mate, Australia's BASE facility in QLD and Monash University in Victoria are the world-leaders in this research. And we have the capability to manufacture at scale for our own pop as well.

Sucks to be you guys though.

If you have people on your life who love PHON.

Now is a good time to point out they have come out in support of police suppression of protest.

Finding common ground and shifting them to the Left is possible. And as always, point them to the Green's fully-costed tax reform.

Yep the AJP are single issue voters and right-leaning on other issues. Some of their members are climate deniers.

Just discovering The Greens?

Welcome, they've been trying their best to represent you in parliament for years.

Even those of you who rail against our media overlords have oft fallen victim to their narratives.

The only party in 2026 that represents what we imagine ourselves to be.

IPA are the beating heart of Atlas, guaranteed. Their hold on the information sphere in Australia is, frankly, terrifying.

Try searching the internet for criticism of the IPA. It's chilling how little you'll find despite how much has been said and written.

Oh absolutely. PHON will also implode before the election it's guaranteed. Pauline almost did serious time once before and I doubt her moral compass has improved.
February 7, 2026 at 7:54 AM
I mean, you guys voted for Crisafulli and are behind most of PHON's rising poll numbers.

So...

But in all seriousness, as a QLD/Brisbane expat, that's pretty sad to hear. Can't see that positively contributing to the ambiance.

I don't like AI. But there is a word limit here and I linked to the source directly.

Yes, I live in the regions and have had physical and verbal confrontations with these idiots when they are out on the piss. Which is frequently. We have women in our group who "washed out" due to abuse.

Here's Google's summary and a link to an audit with recommendations from 2020.

It's not about "feel." They say it themselves, they can't get young people or women to volunteer.

Young people pass the fitness standards to get accepted into FRV or FFM instead.

Finally an article that acknowledges they are getting funding, but it's the CFA themselves that are mismanaging resources.

FRV and FFM don't have these issues.

In the article they ask "where are all the young volunteers."

Joining the FRV & FFM is the answer. The CFA has too many cultural issues.

The media writ-large supports & further radicalizes these folks. Sky News should be outright banned for some of the violent rhetoric they spread.

Instead it's beamed into every Aussie living room. There will no doubt be more attacks & we will be left to defend ourselves, police won't.

But "Ground News" says the SMH "leans left?"

Global effort to shift the overton window. And gullible dickheads everywhere clap along.
February 5, 2026 at 9:33 AM
Couple of ways to do a quick gut check.

Look at the size of opposing protests.

Massive Pro-Palestinian protests, mostly young people. Small anti-immigratiom protests, mostly older.

Massive invasion day rallies, across ages. Smaller "aussie pride" rallies, skews older.

The kids are okay.

I don't really care for anecdotes. There is plenty of polling that says otherwise.

I work with Gen Z tradies and they think she's a clown.
February 5, 2026 at 7:34 AM
Appealing to her lead-poisoned base.

I'm not even joking anymore, there's no other explanation for the amount of hate and lack of critical thinking in her 50+ y/o base.

If the government came for my snack pack I'd start digging tunnels in the bush.

Our voting system is part of what makes this country so great.

Any attempt to mess with it will backfire on them. You don't threaten our voting system, you don't threaten public healthcare. Unless you want your party to be completely unviable.

These are untouchable.

Not even people who work in coal want more coal mines. Who are they even legislating for?

Not even the red and gold hardcover.

Amateur.

Renters are now not only paying the landlord's mortgage, but are now paying increasing electrical costs while our landlords run off-grid. With their cost to install solar and home batteries subsidized by the government.

When do we get some relief for renters @albomp.bsky.social?
