I’m holding space for all of the nuances, the mixed emotions, the confusing bits. We can remember the sacrifices made all those years ago, and commit to placing our energies toward peace, in small actions within our own circles every day.

There is grief within this complexity, too. It’s important to recognize, honour, and tend to it.

This gorgeous immersive #publicart installation invites visitors to reflect on loss, memory, care in a shared community space. I visited the installation, spent time with the creators last year and left inspired/hopeful that a more grief-informed, grief-literate society is absolutely possible💛

It often feels surreal that they’re gone. Hard to explain. Nor would I really ever want you to know how that feels.

I’m grateful that I can sense them with us every September when we spend these precious hours sharing love, encouragement and inspiration with the community. ❤️❤️‍🩹🥹

What a heartwarming legacy in the midst of the ongoing sorrow and absence.🥹

It’s always an emotional weekend for us, remembering our #EmilyCarrPS years. Colin and Brad are missed beyond measure, by many.

One woman whose children have since moved on to high school shared that her kids carry fond memories of these encouraging messages when they walked to school every September. We hadn’t considered how we’re creating warm, lasting childhood memories for other families over these years.
