Finished the first fiber piece and working on a second. The first piece has sold.

Thanks Natalie. It is relaxing but also makes me stay creatively engaged. I finished it.

I took a quick class on making sushi at a local bakery near me. (It teaches community cooking/baking classes). Here’s what I made. Spicy Tuna Roll and California Roll and I can’t remember the name of the salmon piece.

I’m a full-time caregiver for my husband who has LBD. It’s left less time for any studio work. And my bandwidth for bullshit is also at an all time low. Expect to see that in replies. lol. Meanwhile I’ve started some fiber pieces to allow me to sit with him while making.

My cat loves the sink. Also loves the tap turned on. (Not at the same time).

I’m very sorry about the passing of President Carter. I am proud I voted for him twice. He lived a rich life & I don’t think we had a kinder citizen President. It’s not a good segue, I heard the news while making marmalade for the first time for giving away. It’s my caring language to make food.

So today is making traditional mincemeat. I did not have any candied lemons so I had to do that as well. Plan is to make handpies for a holiday party next week.

A friend’s high schooler is being taught this subject and it’s good I for to pass along in the age of propaganda and misinformation.

That looks delicious. I made Cinnamon Apple Dutch Baby this morning. Though I think my husband would go nuts over the coffee cake.

I’m loving the culturally rich Macy’s Parade. It took me forever to find it …. Streaming tv (sigh). However HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🍁 (My fresh pumpkin pie is in the oven).

Happy Monday Folks. 🫤
Suit up. I can’t imagine this week being any less absurdly nuts than last week despite the holiday.

I read a recent article that said decorating is helping people feel better. I would agree. I bought a crap ton of Thanksgiving inflatables. Smile every time I see them. Think I’ll do it for Hanukkah too, 1st week Dec.

Oh I am. Very thankful for BlueSky and its community. Bringing levity, social media activism, and relevant news and commentary. Makes it so easy to jettison the trolls. Thankfully. Also Happy Brunch today

It’s my kumbyyah morning greeting. Had my first “argument” on blue sky yesterday and it was actually a polite exchange. I think the best part about this site is a fair exchange of ideas, news, entertainment AND you can quickly weed out the bad actors immediately. I feel encouraged.

Every day. Oy.

So I do baking therapy. Most recent is today where I baked a Pumpkin Cream cheese filled Coffee Cake. Previous is my own no-knead bread, a Bavarian-Like Apple Torte and pumpkin bread. Pumpkin bakes made with roasted fresh pumpkin and apple bakes from the orchard. All good for mental health.

Sometimes just taking care, protecting, and supporting your family, neighbors, community is enough. Hugs to all of you.
