Bless the bees that bless my fall crop of beans
This is a jaunty green picture, with a bean stem up the center of the frame. Light green buds from the bean plant are in three clusters along the center stem, and the middle set of buds have a larger light green bud with a tiny bit of white flower peeping out like some surreptitious panty slip, with a fuzzy black and black and yellow bee hanging from it, face buried to the HILT into the flower. Gorgeous texture patterns feather out on the green leaves a distant hanging along this erotic bee action.

All I’ve been told is “multiflora” which seems to have stuck for me - as I can see how it crams multiple flowers into one. My glorious one is a peach/pink and was snarfed at $5 clearance last year. Never bought better!
This is the multiflora rose I wrote of. The background is the healthy vibrant green leaves with almost the entire frame taken up with the slightly-wider-oval of the rose. This flower is crammed with dozens of layers of petals, as if three different flowers were held together long enough to agree on only the outer layers of petals. The flower colors are light and dark pink at the outer rim, darker pink moving inwards, and the jumble of perhaps three roses inside are trending across the pink to peach to yellow.

I’ve been gifted the starter plants for iron weed as I’d not found any near my farm. It’s been gorgeous to watch this summer.
A lyretail butterfly sits atop ironweed flowers. The lyretail has wide open wings of soft yellow and black stripes at shoulder and along the trim of the wings. Small dimples of light blue live at the tail. The ironweed blooms are tiny clusters of fluff, each fluff a magical purple that’s not dark like a royal purple and not light like an Easter pastel but truly the sweetest bright purple spot on the spectrum, fit for Liberace hisself.

Beautyberry tiny nest 🩵
The picture is a peering into a Beautyberry bush. Around three points of the edge are bunches of the purple berry clumps (these American Beautyberry plants do better clumps than the non-native). The berries contrast nicely with the light green leaves that duck into the view and surround the small nest. The nest is a cute twisted circle of brown sub-twigs, containing two blue-cast eggs peeking from under a few small dead leaves.

Spring at the northern 34th parallel
Focus in this pic is on the first bloom from a small peach tree. The bloom wraps slightly-dark pink petals in an oval pointing slightly down and leftward. Within the hollow of the petal enclosure are light yellow stems of the pistils topped with their orange fuzzy pollen pops. The bloom hangs to the left of the small twig of the tree, which is sporting another barely-evident bud at its top. In the blurred background is a full field of green grass field, still short from the winter, and a few other twigs from the tree, one with a green leaf starting at the tip and another with a pink nub of a future bloom. The picture looks satisfying, as if winter is done, but here these trees may have to make 2 or even 3 tries at spring since the evil weather freeze-god will keep coming in to try to vanquish all possible life forms.

This picture is from 1927, as evidenced by the glorious inked text below it, as it was scanned in-situ from my grandmother’s photo album. It is a high-contrast black and white print of her father way back then in Germany. He is standing stiltedly but smiling in what looks to be a brown suit, with full vestments and watch fob chain. His arms are at his side with the left hand holding a barely-seen cigar. He stands in front of very tall sunflowers, a full field of them, all much taller than he is. Their flowers in the black-and-white photo look like deep black circles with ragged light jags of petals on their outside. The leaves of the plants shine as if they’d been individually dusted and oiled to be gorgeous, yet also ragged.

Daybreak fire
The saturated picture shows a lower section of a winding gravel path through greenish-brown fieldgrass curing past a dark barn with white highlight trim. Beyond that section are the winter skeletons of tall trees, sparse at the edges of the picture but with a dense leafless group in the center. These dark trees foil the sky behind them which is a gradient from the horizon being a bloody/orange pre-sunrise that looks like a fire giving off the pastel pinks and fluffy purple and magenta cloud deck as if they were smoke.

This is what the forest is advertising today.
Better than anything else I’ve seen in adverts.
After a cold rain, the forest floor is blobbed with glistening dark brown dead leaves, mostly belly-up and twisted into shapes as gorgeous as the orange mushroom pair in the main focus. The pair of mushrooms are a dull yet bright orange with only a few tiny flecks of white upon them. It’s a May-December pair of orange caps, with the elder having opened wide and spread to the point that her edges yellow and fringe white, while the hearty youth has a cap that is tightly-held beneath her and remains entirely orange. Perhaps the elder took the brunt of the cold as a wild wrinkled shield, and the younger caresses her gills with a mild upward touch.

Over a year ago, the turnip dog.
The very young Ruby red heeler, over a year ago, is just much tinier with her shnozz and ears ruling over her mostly-white-fur face. She is dressed in an extremely-fashionable neon pink harness and is seated at the edge of the field of turnips, harpooning the camera lens withher attention. There is a small 20% lower right of the background that is a brown powder scrabble-dirt, but the remainder of the field of view is just a lush dark green carpet of shiny jagged and poofy turnip leaves. This picture delivers a focus to the dog, without losing a single git of the turnip greens’ traction.

A wintertime walk.
A wintertime growth and loss.
Fluffy pretty lightly-yellowish green moss, still vibrant through the winter cold. A few darker green leafy sprouts dance among the mossy tousled wig. And further along I the moss lies a northern mockingbird, grey feathered belly upwards with mussy feathers, a tail and wings askew and un-right, and tightly-dead feet and claws. I suspect it won’t last long - the local hawk or some ground-dwelling thing will decide the final resting place for this bird.

Pink mushroom day
A stinkhorn which goes by the name of “devil’s dipstick” since it is pink and lengthy and looks turgid and horny. The base is much lighter almost white-pink and it has a gradient of color through a heavy pink blush for the top half. The stinkhorn is close-cropped showing just a bit of field grass some weeds and a few fallen leaves. Instead of an almost pornographic name, I’ve decided this is to be named the Christmas Horn. This wee (normal shaped) mushroom is also a blushing pink. The base is barely pink at all but the head looks translucent and red-pink and textured like leather all at the same time. She’s a very wee little mushroom, perhaps the size of a lima bean at best, so the picture being close-in shows only a part of the back of a couple of leaves and a pine straw or two, as that’s what lives in this part of the forest.

Dog meditations
Yes, it’s the red heeler again. She’s perched on a boulder the size of a small boulder, which is covered in this forest’s signature set of mid-green moss and light teal lichens all splotchy in the way that nature does her art. Ruby the red heeler is almost facing the camera making her front prominent. She is sporting a gorgeous black harness from rabbitgoo that was a great find at the thrift store. It has reflector edges that can only be seen under flashlight in the dark, so that’s not seen in this picture. She looks to be standing relaxed atop this boulder, ears perked, and eyes lightly closed. She must be meditating and in full communion with the forest, pictured in the background as some tree bases and heavy leaf coverage.

A picture of several different moss growths on a large limestone boulder. Near center is a brown-slightly-green circular patch ringed by light growth that looks akin to a meteor strike upon the moon. The other swaths of moss are colored a light teal, mid green, light green, and the aforementioned brown-green, with the tufts of moss reaching above the other growths being the vibrant green that looks most lively. tl;dr moss on rock

This is a portrait-focus picture of a red heeler dog, about 50 lbs, mostly a very light brownish slightly-red color. Her head has a lighter patch on top in the form of a six-tentacle splat and that lightness wanders down between the eyes across the top of the nose. She is sitting on her haunches in a woodsy area, but most of the leaves are blurred out to make her the solid focus of the picture. Her ears are perky as she gazes towards the camera, mouth just barely open enough to see a mild smile of her teeth. She is wearing a black halter.
