We did a driving tour through Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah. Incredible vistas showing millennia of sedimentary buildup and erosion. It was way too hot to do any hiking.

It took a couple days but we made it to Moab, Utah. There is a great camping area in Velociraptor State Park where you are basically out by yourself in the desert. It allowed for some nice sunrises and sunsets with the hills off in the distance both East and West. #travelpics #moab #sunrise #sunset

As the weather starts to turn colder, I'm thinking of the trip we took to the deserts of the western US.
