i made a template you can use to think about what "frame/negation/kirby" looks like for other issues.
For example:

Frame: DOGE is a govt efficiency project to save $

Negation: Actually it made things less efficient and cost $

Kirby: DOGE was a project to break and privatize federal bureaucracy

All else being equal, if someone isn’t willing to apply their own standard to themselves, they shouldn’t be using that standard. By his own reasoning, he’s a necessary sacrifice for something he wanted. Zero sympathy here.

I hate to say it, but I’m 90% sure it’s the former. In 2020, in a depressive state I wrote down a long list of the most cynical and pessimistic predictions for the next five years. Looking at the same list now, it looks optimistic, and objectively describes a better state than now.

Says the same people politicizing heat pumps, EVs, and environmental and safety regulations. Someone clearly doesn’t watch your content.

On that note, you convinced me to swap out our gas furnace with a heat pump when it reached EOL, and am very happy with it (as is my wallet).
