Amusing juxtaposition in my feed - your post was just over @scalzi.com 's post telling authors not to feel bad about promoting their books.
(No, I get it, it's about proportion. An occasional promo post in a feed where you are mostly talking about other things is fine, promo-only gets tired fast.)

Went to a nature reserve for a walk today, and in a forest with Sweden's largest population of "vresbok" a type of beech tree that gets all twisted up. The kind of trees that would make you till your eyes at the incomplete of the illustrator, should you encounter them in a book.

As for funding to the northern two thirds of the country, why, hardly anybody lives there!
Especially not away from the coast. (I grew up near the single blip inland in the north.)

I read it again as an adult, and still found it funny, but in a different way. It's a good book.
