That being said, when we discuss PIC, don't focus on incarcerated plp crimes (whether they are guilty or not) but the systems that exploit them and create environments to produce people getting imprisoned. In the case of America, it's our history with slavery that made prison industry a business

Of course the situation in the US is horrendous and should alarm us all. But it is perhaps best understood as an expansion of ongoing practices rather than the emergence of new ones.

Don't focus on one line take in the full context. If you cared, then you will be solidarity with Black,Indigenous, Latinx, and diable folks who are trying to fight against oppressive powers in those states instead of abandoning.
