1) it only has data for 2022, so no baseline to declare growth from

2) surveyed trans identity, not medical transition

3) explicitly says US trans population is not disproportionately white
A 2022 study showed that, while medical transition increased across all racial demographics, it expanded most significantly for white people; 731,200 white adults identified as transgender as of 2022, compared to 289,700 Latinx adults and 173,500 Black adults. The racial/ethnic distribution of youth and adults who identify as transgender appears generally similar to the U.S. population, though our estimates mirror prior research that found transgender youth and adults are more likely to report being Latinx and less likely to report being White compared to the U.S. population.
