is there any social democratic party anywhere in the world that hates the actually existing base of genuine social democrats in their country more than labour? like they despise them and spit on them because they accept as essentially valid the worst slurs people who hate them use about them

it's completely dishonest and basically a PR exercise for dressing austerity up in Labour colours.

almost everything they describe by these words (free tuition, cycle to work, what have you), is not actually /exclusively/ beneficial to the middle class at all, they just hide behind the fact that they can benefit /both/ middle class and working class people as an excuse to defund them.
