Tonight’s matchup of Paul Skenes vs Hunter Greene is a something to see in a game with playoff implications. Mets will be sending two of their rookie starters against the Cubs the next two nights. The Jays will have to beat Garrett Crochet to assure they stay in first place. Wow!

As I see things, I’m guessing in the AL it’ll be the Blue Jays, Tigers, and Astros with WC spots going to the Yankees, Astros, and Guardians.
In the NL it’ll be the Phillies, Brewers and Dodgers. WC spots will go to the Cubs, Padres, and Reds.
An exciting week ahead for sure!

The Reds host Pittsburgh and then travel to Milwaukee. The Mets are in the road against the Cubs and Marlins. The D’Backs host the Dodgers and will finish up in San Diego. Only one of the three will make the postseason barring an outrageous collapse by the Padres.

The final NL Wild Card spot will come down to the Reds, Mets, or Diamondbacks. The Cubs have clinched and the Padres are on the cusp.

The Yankees (or Jays) have all but secured one WC spot. Boston has a one game lead while Houston, Cleveland (or Detroit) will fight for the final spot. Boston travels to Toronto before hosting Detroit. Houston travels west to play A’s and Angels. Two of the four will get into the playoffs.

Next is the AL Central. Who would’ve believed it could come to this when the Guardians were 16 games back. But now they trail the Tigers by a single game and host them and the Rangers. The Tigers go to Boston after their series in Cleveland.

First things first, the AL East where the Yankees have managed to hang around long enough to make a run at it. The Blue Jays have a two game lead and will host Boston and Tampa Bay while the Yankees host the White Sox and Orioles.

Interestingly, the Tigers and Guardians start a three game series against each other on Tuesday in Cleveland. Will make for some exciting theater. Keep in mind that the Guardians were once 16 games behind the Tigers in June. Wow!
