I appreciate the follows, but I want to be upfront: I am a corporate wage slave who will use this app exclusively for memes, news, and politics. I'm not a scientist or artist or writer or anyone famous.

You might see a rant or two from me, but that'll be all ❤️

I wrote another thing for @religiondispatches.org about Chris Smalls.

Demand justice. Share his name. Expose this assault. And hold accountable every coward & collaborator who chooses comfort in the empire over solidarity with the oppressed.

Chris Smalls is not alone. He deserves to be seen. ✊🏾

The world is burning, and my regular financial donations to various causes feel like I'm doing nothing more than spitting on the flames.

But our rescued cat has cuddled with me this entire weekend and purred louder when I kissed her head while she sat on my lap.

So that's what I'm focusing on.

Listen, Biden is definitely the lesser of the evils, BUT HE IS STILL EVIL

He did the bare minimum as president and sanctioned a genocide and y'all are clapping 😭
One passed laws for your kids. The other passed his hat for your cash.

Hey 2025 debut authors! Respond to this post with the title of your book, a link to buy it, and at least one cool thing about it.

Let's make it easy to find new voices.

I'm sorry to sound so ignorant, but how is "USians" pronounced?

YOU-zhee-ans? (Like Asians)

You-ESS-ians?

USS-ians?

I don't live in Scotland; I've never even visited that hemisphere of the planet, but omg I hope this person wins. All the best, Q. I would love more compassion in politics.
I’m so excited to share that I’m to be the Green candidate for the Fountainbridge-Craiglockhart by-election on 26 June.

I want to bring care back into politics, to commit strongly to solidarity, safer roads, tenants rights, and green spaces in our ward.

I look forward to the next 6 weeks!

I finished The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J Maas yesterday and I'm still haunted by what happens in the final short story. I don't think I'll ever get over it.

I tried, I really did, but this is a DNF.

I read Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, Onyx Storm, and started We Need to Talk About Kevin while I got through half of this book.

Excellent premise, but way too many facts just thrown at you.

I'm also not the biggest fan of footnotes.

I have no idea who this man is, but I used to follow him on Twitter and I follow him here because he reminds me that there is still good in this world. I wish him nothing but the best, and I hope he inspires others to follow suit.
Sometimes I forget just how bad the dogs were when they came in.

Matilda was hit by a truck and all her hip and leg shattered.

It’s taken over 3 months but to see her now is amazing… (1/4) 🧵

I've just finished chapter 10 of Mindf*ck and all I keep thinking is "why does this man STILL have a Facebook account???"

Also, this book is excellent, but did anyone else need a small break between chapters? It's so overwhelming how fucked up everything was. I feel like I need to digest the info.

This was great, Murakami is a funny dude.
Anyway, my husband left his copy of What I Talk About When I Talk About Running on the coffee table, so I'm gonna give that a shot. It'll be my first Murakami book 👀

Even though I'm allowed to work remotely, I've elected to go into the office daily this year in an effort to create a clear distinction between work and home. So far it's going great! (I do live only a few kilometres from the office, though, so I'm luckier than most)

I've also finished Wind and Truth by Brandon Sanderson and I have a lot of Big Feelings™. Not sure how I'm going to hold out until 2031 for the next one 🥲
