Every creative activity involves you having to solve problems, learn from solving those problems, and use this experience to solve new problems they encounter.

"This reminds me of something I have done before" is how you get better at literally everything.

A better analogy to calculators, a more accurate one, would be if calculators didn't actually calculate.

A calculator with number inputs only and a button you press to receive an answer, no operations.

Enter some numbers, get an answer. Maybe it's the same each time, maybe not.
