Le Wokisme? or La Botte?
@csilverandgold.bsky.social
Don’t mind me just tracing the gyres. Talk about politics a lot but mostly want to talk about Stevie Wonder and August Wilson. She stay in the hills, he stay in Atlanta, I pay for them both.
Sorry y’all can’t see it anymore (I think bc of who reskeeted it which imo clearly proves he has an alt and he accidentally posted on main, but anyway)

Here it is:

So in this chart, you see where the blue line and the red line both go up? Look carefully.

Do you think Elon Musk is responsible for the blue line going up? I do not. Who could it be? Could it maybe be… the monthly stories in publications mostly read by Democrats attacking trans people?

This is the quoted tweet, in case OP blocks me.

Somehow this briefly ended up in my replies to that “calm down about leftists/liberals” thread, prior to being swiftly blocked. This person claims not to be MAGA. The thing is, they could be at any point on the “ideological” spectrum. Racism is everywhere.

Bro Collin Allred’s favorables are ALREADY higher than Ken Paxton’s. Not relative, absolute.

Quiet. You’re a Republican, whether or not you know it yet.

Like the liberal order undergirded (subtended) by Christianity is at the big part of the diamond (“the widening gyre”) and the rough beast is at the small part of the hourglass, or even in the moment immediately prior to that, right before it begins its beginning.

Revised map!

An alliance of Blacks, New Englanders, environmentalists and cosmopolitans vs Appalachia and the Great Plains, with Hispanics as the central mighty swing demographic would be a better America for sure.

In June 2020 BLM was WILDLY popular, like thirty points up, tho even by September it had narrowed to less popular than it was in 2017:

Was not particularly scared of AI except as a threat to creative people’s livelihoods til I saw this.

I sort of unironically think that the double gyre is useful bc it allows us to think about history in three or four dimensions. There’s the question of circularity, or where we are in a cycle—then the question of whether we are tracking something that is waxing or waning—then the question of time.

I don’t support the Vichy Times but we should all be aware that Thom Tillis has no independence and no care for his own conscience. He only cares about obeying Dear Leader.

This is selfish and evil and also this person is on our side now, and we all have to act like it.

I’m trying to be nice and blueskyish instead of twitterish so instead of QTing incorrect responses I will simply post the original image and note that this is the sort of thing where applying race as a lens really helps!

Doesn’t mean the abjection of Blacks and gratuitous violence against Black people isn’t central to those psychological and sociological coherences. Or as NK Jemisin says in a novel so painfully explicitly Afropessimist that I am shocked it has not been discussed primarily in those terms:
