While people vote (or not) for a candidate for many reasons, let’s not underestimate the power of the policies on offer or the grassroots ground game - they knocked on 3 million doors.

Sad. The budget has what looks like $150 for offsetting the cost for applicants to obtain the very inadequate Disability Tax Credit. There needed to be more for poverty reduction, but they admit to not making the 2030 targets.

We did the local/Atlantic analysis of cuts under Harper. Devastating for many communities both for good jobs and quality accessible services. So frustrating to hear them talk about attrition as if that makes it better.

We should not just be maintaining the cornerstone social programs, but at least

My family dr gave me a box of tests this week. You can’t even get them for free anymore unless you say you are immunocompromised. But we who aren’t immunocompromised should be making sure we aren’t getting others sick. I see flu +covid tests available online for sale -may have to start buying them.

I agree with Halperin.

Vaccines are part of our social contract.

I had to top up my measles one too.

Bringing services back in-house a recommendation @ccpanovascotia.bsky.social made repeatedly, recently as part of our municipal report. It has many advantages including saving money, and better, more responsive service, job security & better worker benefits. More municipalities should do so #nspoli
