After I landed, I checked the WAAS availability map, which indicated that the whole western US could expect to not have WAAS coverage, so we wouldn’t get the best GPS approaches. To the best of my knowledge, this was due to the solar weather you’re describing.

On the 19th, I tried to fly the RNAV 16 approach at Orcas Island- everything appeared normal until I was joining the final approach segment, at which point the GPS briefly deleted my CDI and gave me a message telling me I had to use LNAV minimums. Raised my MDA by 120’.
