Spent the weekend at the next festival shoppe cleaning, oiling, and rebuilding doors that termites ate into last year. I’m so damn tired. Still don’t have my camper back to use. And yesterday was just… a lot.

I generally have a policy of not posting on politics online. But I have to say something that I haven’t seen much on the current Tylenol during pregnancy nonsense: they don’t want women in the workforce. This is a way to reduce women from working.

Woo! Success of the day: took a bunch of fabrics and materials for donation at a local craft reuse shop. I’ve been meaning to do something with these things for years, and now they’re finally out of my hands. No more dreading over them taking up valuable space in my workshop.

The morning has been meh—little one didn’t want me to put her down unless she was nap ready. I’m hopeful for the afternoon though, since a friend’s kiddo is watching little one with me at the workshop. I’ll be able to prep more materials for summer restock. 🖤

Feeling incredibly defeated at the moment. Worked on a marketing course module that I put off for a month, since it made me irrationally angry trying to get through it. Finished part one after working on it on and off for several hours. Part two seems just as long. I didn’t check how many there are.

Wow, I guess my back decided to revolt after a session of unloading the trailer yesterday after last weekend’s event. Just chilling on the couch, no baby in hand, and it popped in an odd way. Today every movement hurts and I can’t stand straight. 😬

Saturday evening, I came home to my friendliest feral, Whiskey, being killed by dogs in my yard. While she did technically survive the attack, she was too badly injured to save and was put to sleep after evaluating. I cried so much I had a four day migraine.

Much to do this week as I get ready for the first convention I’ve done since 2019. Many things have changed in my business since then, and I’m not sure how it will affect how I present at this kind of event. Honestly just hoping to break even. Costs have gone up so dramatically since last I did this

In the midst of all the summer tragedies, I just found out my cousin's ex-wife's home burned overnight. She lost all of her pets in the fire. Her boyfriend is organizing their fundraising to restart.
I’m too worn out for how little I’ve actually done today. Picked up a supply order, went and bought my (very late) Mother’s Day present, and decided on a charm bracelet for little one. Still on my list: check in shipments, pick up present, ship out online orders. Maybe plan for the next event.

Made an effort to seek postpartum therapy. I’ll do one session tomorrow and then cancel, because I forgot to cancel before the 24-hour deadline. I have other medical needs that need to be paid for over a once-a-week therapy that costs $130 out of pocket for in-network insurance. #fubluecross

Got some product photos taken yesterday, despite it feeling like a sauna on my front porch. Also made a real life pattern for a skirt design I used to make by measurements only. It’ll be so nice to get that design made by the sewing team this year!

Finally got myself to call up my ADHD office to start getting back onto meds so I can actually do things in a reasonable amount of time. I’ve been juggling so much over the last four months, yesterday finally felt like I could breathe a bit. Which is funny, because our a/c decided not to work.

Feeling very useless and defeated today. Ended up with heat exhaustion at my workshop last week, and still feeling the effects. With the heat and humidity today, it was a no-go for workshop plans. Now I cannot get myself to redirect to other tasks I could be doing. 😖
