In the spring of 2008, I feared America was on the verge of war with Iran — and, believing that it’s good style to get to know people before you bomb them, I made “Rick Steves’ Iran,” a one-hour special that could (and would) only debut on PBS. Sadly, this special has become pertinent again today.
Found an email I sent to a co-op back in 2007 suggesting 8 detailed ways they can attract younger members. This was after I attended 2 board meetings made up of old people who rejected new ideas.

Instead of the Microsoft Outlook reminder perpetually saying the meeting is "Now", it should say "5 minutes ago" so I know how late I am to the meeting.

We need to build some real social stigma around being afraid of cities. You don't have to like them or live there, but a politics built this strongly around watching TV and going "ewww" is embarrassing, and people should be embarrassed by it. It's like "fear of werewolves" being your top issue.

"Hidden gem" continues. This time my 17-yo nephew asked me if I have ever been to Normandale Japanese Garden because he saw a "hidden gem" video. I've been there. In fact, I got married there. 💍 💕
Hahahah. Watching an influencer call a place a "hidden gem" in the North Loop. Girl, it's PACKED every weekend and is by a big chef. This is NOT a hidden gem.🙄

Balloons don't go to heaven. They fall back to Earth and many birds and wildlife become entangled resulting in death. There are many other ways to celebrate life that aren't harmful to the environment and wildlife!
