I'm in Las Vegas on a work trip and (uncharacteristically) decided to go out last night instead of crashing at my hotel. If you're in a city with #MeowWolf, DON'T miss it! Seriously one of the coolest experiences, and this one has a crazy interactive live performance happening for summer #OmegaMart

Was able to spend my mom's birthday with her for the first time in almost 10 years. Living far away from loved ones is complicated, even when (especially when) it's necessary. But today was full of laughter and love and moments that I hope will sustain us through the coming months.

Road tripping to my hometown to see my mom for her birthday. Today I'm in bumfuck-nowhere but yesterday we stopped at the Cincinnati Zoo. So many cute animals including baby cheetahs and baby meerkats!

Book #15 of 2025: When a sequel is so good you want to immediately go back and re-read #1. The author says Ambit's Run will only be a duology, but I'll hold out hope for more of this amazing found-family space crew.

Book #14 of 2025: Some of these were tough to get through because we're so much closer to their reality now than we were when they were written. Hard to pick a favorite, but I really enjoyed Our Aim Is Not to Die, Calendar Girls, and O.1..

Book #13 of 2025: Read this. "A nationalist will say that “it can’t happen here,” which is the first step toward disaster. A patriot says that it could happen here, but that we will stop it."

Book #12 of 2025: So glad I picked this one up at the local bookstore. Turns out a dystopian horror story about a teen LGBTQ organization surviving after a doomsday cult releases a bioweapon on the world was exactly what I needed?

Book #11 of 2025: A brief history of a millennias-long global pandemic and the social inequities that fuel it. But make it brilliantly hopeful. Everyone should read this book.

Book #10 of 2025: First re-read of the year, and loved it as much, if not more, than the first time. Love the idea of there being a mirror world of your own out there that is similar but so different from your own. And also, ✨magic✨

Book #9 of 2025: If only we all had access to our own Midnight Libraries, but we can all work on our own Books of Regret. Almost DNF'd after the first chapter because I didn't read the content warnings, but very glad I pushed through.

Book #8 of 2025: Key and Rain bring me all the joy. I love how dealing with emotions like anxiety and fear in a relationship is addressed, and the diverse and complex cast of characters made me so happy. 🏳️‍⚧️

Book #6 of 2025: I needed something comforting and indulgent after my first DNF of the year. Drawn in by the Holmes/Watson vibes, stuck around to learn about the system of magic (and the 🌶️🌶️ didn't hurt either 😅)

Book #5 of 2025: Instantly fell in love with the crew of the Ambit and their fast-paced often chaotic (mis)adventures. Cast of characters vaguely reminded me of the Mynock from Campaign. Can't wait to read the sequel.

Maybe cheating a bit since I started reading it in 2024, but just finished my first book of 2025. Book 3 of the Raven Hollow series did not disappoint. Cozy mystery, small town Pennsylvania, and Christmas cheer. A Quaint and Curious Christmas Murder by Deanne Marcus-Rupert
