I'm not sure that the drive to "specialist care" in the NHS can be described as a successful strategy if it's only available for 5 days a week in office hours.
So much emphasis on "demand management" for patients to not go to A&E.
What about other bits of healthcare?

For EM docs this is like making anaesthetists work without a CO2 monitor and a sats probe.
