* *flops his silly head in your hands and looks lovingly up at you* *
He’ll like it very much if you rub his ears. Hunters of Herne love ear rubs.

You’re a legend for doing this ✨

Human legs and feet, deer tail and ears.
With a beanie and tucked away tail in winter/early spring, when their antlers are shed (winter for males, spring for females) they can pass pretty well for humans.

And thank you 😂

—paying back the favour 😂. They’r a rural lot, obviously with roots in hunting, forestry & game keeping, and r seasonally chaotic and potentially high maintenance company, but also can b equally as agreeable and rewarding friends, again, if you’re able to see them through rutting season 😅😂

—tend to become all brawn, no brain 😅. Which is part of the driving force behind why they’r a very community dependent species. They operate in groups called ‘Orders’ where the hinds will b on call 24/7 through autumn to keep the fellas out of trouble, then said fellas spend the rest of the year—

I love ur curiosity!
His species belongs to my Henchmen’s Guide world; they’r a British cryptid i’ve built around Herne the Hunter, so they’r called The Hunters of Herne (or just Hunters) (though ur can call them deer bros 😂)
Their antlers grow seasonally, & in the autumn (rutting season) the guys—
