They mean electricity that is not derived from fossil fuels - so, hydro, nuclear, wind and solar (and possibly biomass combustion, biogas, but not likely). People need to learn not to use the terms "energy" and "electricity" interchangeably.

When you can only get votes from gullible people who willingly accept your denial of verifiable facts, you have a pretty strong motivation to advocate against science. And education. Also, journalism, critical thinking, and anything else that could disrupt the illusion.

Generic brand 1 dozen large CDN$3.93 locally here in Ontario, Canada (about US$2.72). Eggs are a quota (supply controlled) commodity in Ontario. Not subsidized, supply controlled, which supposedly leads to higher prices. Strike one for the "invisible hand of free market capitalism"?
