I have a neighbor who only remembers to water her lawn and garden when it rains. Every time I'm outside just after it rains, she has drapeed her running hose over her steps where it dribbles down over her sopping wet, dead plants.

Like humorous, illustrated books about ridiculous couples and communication issues? We reached our first fundraising goal but we're hoping to get more books out to more hands, and print enough to distribute to select pop culture and indie book stores.

“Do you realize how frequently you tell your cats to ‘calm their tits’?” Comrade asks me.

“Cats have lots of nervous energy,” I say. “And lots of tits.”

Finding enjoyment in life is difficult right now. You need to read some ridiculous conversations between real people. A book where nobody tells you what you have to do to change the world. Take some you time to laugh at the weird world, and if you want to, color in some pictures.

Dude: You'll like this, it's a cover of #Prince 's 'Sign O The Times'.

Ten seconds into the song, me: I do like this but it is not a cover of Prince's 'Sign O The Times'.

Dude: Yes it is.

Me: It is Not. It is a cover of #HarryStyles 's 'Sign Of The Times', which is not the same song At All.

Tonight, a few of us will be meeting on Discord to discuss Porsha Olayiwola's book "I Shimmer Sometimes, Too" as part of our year of reading books by writers who journeyed through #PoetrySlam.

It's so appropriate this year, this will be the first #poem we discuss.

It's been a while since I posted one of my reimagines #startrek seasons. This is probably my favorite, so many crossovers and world-building, and just joy. "Darmok", "Trials & Tribbl-ations", "Kayshon", "Scorpion", "Divergence".

Star Trek Headcanon Reimagined, 10: Fan Service
Obviously I love all the seasons from this reimagined headcanon. Otherwise, why would I have spent all this time watching and writing about them? This season, however, is probably my favorite. There.....

Children Of The Atom is Joe Casey and Rick Rude's weird, tonally appropriate prelude to the original X-Men #1.

I'm glad I just started posting my X-readthrough now, as I'm currently reading the late 90s stuff where I'm partway through an #XMen book that tells me I should have read a certain Cable trade first, that lets me know what X-Force story I put on the wrong part of the bookshelf.

Third X-book from my readthrough is about an adolescent child of millionaires having Gothic Adventures at boarding school. It's a fun prequel to the Silver Age debut of North America's Premier Mutant Team.

The outing of Neil Gaiman's sexual assaults create a big void in books that comic retailers can recommend to people who want to venture outside of superheroes. But it's not an unfillable void.

One of the things I'm trying to do in 2025 is to post more often, so here's why if I were going to make a discography of AC/DC , it would probably only be one album because I mostly know them from movie soundtracks, friends' basements in the 80s and 90s, and a handful of MTV videos.

I found this ornament at the center of some carefully folded tissue paper that has been in a box that my fiance brought into our relationship five years ago. Neither of us bought this. Neither of us can think of why anyone would have gifted it to us, but it is now part of our holiday menagerie.

On a scale of "I'm sure it's fine" to "Dude, just....no," should I buy a well-designed and fun card #game called "Dead Grandma" for my fiance, who still has two living grandmothers who are healthy, even though they are both about as old as my grandmother was when she died from general oldness?
