Are any of my followers good at carpentry and/or live near Annapolis?
Someone should build like 20 “little free libraries” and put them up around Annapolis just outside the naval academy and stock them solely with copies of all the books that were banned from the naval academy library.

A win for truth and history: A National Park Service page(removed by Musk) on the Underground Railroad has been restored to prominently feature Harriet Tubman, after her image and quote were removed earlier this year. Now, her legacy as a fearless champion for freedom has rightfully been restored. ✊

Bad Bunny's Tiny Desk was great. The instrumentation and energy were so dope. I was such a fan of Fabiola Mendez and Luis Sanz on the cuatros. It was *only* missing NUEVAYoL.

Best part? My son clapping along to LA MuDANZA and them getting me to yell "yo soy de P f*ing R!"

I'm not. But too good.

Some great advice: "In class, we professors need to slow down... Slowing down is also necessary to push back on the evasions to thought made possible by generative AI. If students can avoid thinking outside of class, it is imperative that they be asked—indeed forced—to think in class."
In this little piece, I try to offer some hope and strategies to make our classes places sites of intellectual joy-- despite all the challenges students and we face these days. We need to help our students experience what made us fall in love with our work.

Attn: Trump stated, “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO GET RICH, RICHER THAN EVER BEFORE!!!” Many have interpreted this as an indication that he or his allies are using knowledge of tariffs for personal financial gain. This raises serious concerns about insider trading and market manipulation.

I am enjoying seeing all these #handsoff protests springing up around the country in towns both big and small. It's a hopeful thing to witness in such dark, scary times.

And I love these DC protest signs.

Today’s topics might include (but are not limited to): tariffs and how Congress can revoke them, NEH funding, not arresting international students, and preserving due process.
Call your congressperson today. Let them know how you feel. Pick an issue. Any issue. Doesn’t matter. Make it clear you are unhappy and want them to break from the president.
