Beginner.
Bold moves to scale things down, drop the pace and make it so 'talky' - but all good moves for a mid-trilogy movie, and a first-rate director and cast make it work. I can't wait for the next one to go full Danny Boyle; I think we won't get full value from The Bone Temple till then.

Still not really my bag but this was much better than I expected. The relationship between the two siblings was nicely developed and he has a good ear for dialogue. Nothing groundbreaking but a good read.

Didn't quite reach stratospheric heights for me but he can certainly write. I enjoyed the subtler touches and the relationships more than the shocks and gore. Must be getting old. I never seem to have time to re-read books but I think a second visit would pay off with this one.

And now we're into all kinds of interesting questions not only about the validity of AI-assisted art but also about the role of artistic intention. If this is accidental, it's just slop. If it's deliberate, the exact same object might be genius.

Sounds promising. I loved A Wounded Faun and it did spring to mind when watching the Keeper trailer and reading about the movie. Hoping to see it this weekend.

The First Omen was such a pleasant surprise. Also this reminds me that I need to watch Channel Zero which I missed first time round.

Not that they're really comparable but this is my favourite vampire movie since Let the Right One In. Using a puppet for a vampire is a genius move. Not alive or dead, and driven by a force over which they have no control.
