Canadian 🍁. Too opinionated about how much late stage capitalism sucks to be employed by a Big 5 bank. Teaching Canadians how to interpret financial news and plan to build a future that works for them. Opinions are my own.
Careful buddy, you just know the orange felon got a private lesson in using a bonesaw on his political enemies, and no one wants that for you. Try and stay in public places please.

Thank you for continuing to pound away at this Carrie. The malfeasance of the UCP government should be national news. Absolutely despicable that Smith et al have not resigned in disgrace yet.

Kinda makes you wonder if this is the same first stage as last time too. Breadth has been really weird lately, and the big price moves scream of short covering.

Your quote: "bear in mind that one of his first acts as PM was to cut the capital gains tax rate"

False. Therefore misinformation.

Words matter.

My money's on a new version of this tax measure being introduced in tomorrow's budget anyways.

The previous government had proposed raising the cap gains inclusion rate to 67% for gains above $250k. When the election was called, the budget was scrapped, and the measure wasn't reintroduced.

Good or bad decision, worth discussion. Spreading misinformation, nah.

Teachers should refuse to go back to work, and every single union member in Alberta should walk off the job with them.

Using the NWC to bust unions means that this government can never be trusted to do anything in good faith ever again.
