does my absolute favourite thing (aesthetically) in these kinds of games which is have an equally beautiful and thoughtfully lit/coloured night-phase.

I feel like I got less "political therefore bad" from it 'cus it felt like it came from a place of exhaustion. Ditto the pretense/i'm-so-smart thing, imo. What I felt like I was getting was "this is all dumb as shit, I'm dumb as shit, why even bother", while trying to show it's worth it to bother.
