It's really hard to overstate how much Hakeem Jeffries sucks. I guess at least in this case his terrible personality and communication skills combined with the fact that no one care what he thinks are of benefit.

It never ceases to disgust me how so many will gleefully get behind spending millions/billions to lock up fellow citizens, yet recoil at spending less to simply feed, house, educate, and/or provide healthcare for them out of some juvenile, misinformed, and selectively applied sense of “fairness”.

It’s insane that this isn’t already the stance of Democrats leaders in every blue state. Go as hard as you can under the current rules and while your doing that work to make the rules better. It’s a fucking no-brainer.
