Om haar werk beter te begrijpen schilderde de biografe van de kunstenares Marlow Moss al haar werk na, op schaal 1:2. Het is maar goed dat ik hier pas achter kom op het moment dat mijn boek over Carel Weeber allang af is.

Dit is bijvoorbeeld heel vals. Schinkel zegt juist dat dit het ‘verhaal’ is waarmee Rusland haar agressie legitimeert, niet dat het haar agressie legitimeert.

Leon Krier died. Indeed a genius, and the creator of some of the most perversely alienating architectural environments that exist, around which he gathered a cult of reactionary halfwits that saw them as the gospels. He seemed to have suffered fools gladly.

This is the rectory of the Franciscan church in Reutte, Austria, designed by Walter Dejaco between 1959 and 1961. Earlier Dejaco designed and oversaw the construction of the gaschambers in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Do you think it has the right proportions and uses the materials in a correct manner?

Kennen jullie dit gebouw? Van de gemeentereiniging Rotterdam. Schepen voeren er onderdoor zodat de vuilniswagens hun lading erin konden storten. Fantastisch soort gemeentewerken high-tech van begin jaren tachtig. Keilezijweg.

Het is mij te licht. Een voorbeeld voor ons allen kan zijn Paul Otlet die een eeuw geleden de volledige kennis van de wereld opzoekbaar trachtte te maken dmv miljoenen zelf beschreven archiefkaarten, het Mundaneum, eerst vergeten, toen gehyped als voorloper van het internet.
