BREAKING NEWS: Planning permission has just been granted for the demolition of The Point in Milton Keynes (BDP, 1985) - Britain's first multiplex cinema. The previous refusal of permission was overturned on appeal, paving the way for a cluster of 21-storey residential towers by Galliard Homes.

Leon Krier died. Indeed a genius, and the creator of some of the most perversely alienating architectural environments that exist, around which he gathered a cult of reactionary halfwits that saw them as the gospels. He seemed to have suffered fools gladly.

This is the rectory of the Franciscan church in Reutte, Austria, designed by Walter Dejaco between 1959 and 1961. Earlier Dejaco designed and oversaw the construction of the gaschambers in Auschwitz-Birkenau. Do you think it has the right proportions and uses the materials in a correct manner?

Waarom gaan de plannen voor Boijmans niet radicaal uit van het bestaande museum?

Wow geweldig, dankje Mona Keijzer, ik en vele anderen zitten inderdaad te smachten naar huurwoningen die we niet kunnen betalen, in plaats van koopwoningen die we niet kunnen betalen.

Wow geweldig, dankje Mona Keijzer, ik en vele anderen zitten inderdaad te smachten naar huurwoningen die we niet kunnen betalen, in plaats van koopwoningen die we niet kunnen betalen.
Kennen jullie dit gebouw? Van de gemeentereiniging Rotterdam. Schepen voeren er onderdoor zodat de vuilniswagens hun lading erin konden storten. Fantastisch soort gemeentewerken high-tech van begin jaren tachtig. Keilezijweg.
