Its pretty normal to smell something burnt the first time you turn a heater on in a year. Not that if know how extreme what you smelled was.

This isn’t creeping conservatism being consolidated, but active and feral fascism.

And we have enough perspective to know that burns out fast. The only fascist states that lasted more than a generation had protection from larger powers. Still gone.

This will be hard, but it will not be forever.

Being from a colder place than me you probably know but telling people this is just part of my personality at this point. Throw some dry rice or beans in a pillowcase and microwave it for 2 minutes and cuddle that under a blanket. Hope you get to be warm soon <3

Thank you! Yes! Super fun to work with, definitely some learning curves to get over but I'm very excited to work with it more

Still working a job that I am not passionate about, and wears me out. But it does good in the world and makes me the money I need to get us to where we want to be. I see a good future ahead of me where I get to be creative and follow my passions and be surrounded with love.

The comparison between these 2 spreads and the chunk of this sketch book between 2022 and now...it's all barely coherent scribbles, and barely any of them. I just feel so much more like myself again. I am so happy with where I am and who I have in my life.

IDK what I'm rambling about really. I'm just so happy with where my art is now, that I am finding time for it and re-finding my passion for it. That I have a lovely partner that encourages me and engages with my art in the way I need

Art has always been about connection for me. Connection between myself and friends and clients and community. I LOVE drawing for other people and drawing for myself in a way that expresses who I am to others. If I didn't get to share, I don't know if I would do art honestly.
