I always feel like I am in a WWII submarine randomly turning valves and knobs when at some hotel showers.
At one of them I could never actually get the shower head to work. The former water well driller side of me was ashamed.

This thread brought me back to a friend from school who had a (carpeted) bathroom connected to his room. For some reason, though, the sink was not actually in the bathroom. It was in his room. We used to dare to be bold to try such marvels of design 😂

Thanks for confirming there is no similar pipe with base! That has been my finding too.
I think many consider it bad practice due to the lack of ease of readability by others as well as breaking with principle of left to right progression for pipes.

This is what I find myself doing in the meantime. You're right on the principle of it all, I think I just like the succinctness (in my opinion) of taking care of the matter with just one operator.

Gosh this is so spot on. I would need a data version of The Odyssey to convey how difficult it was to get consistent data for certain projects.
