I’m really glad Carpenter is still around. There was a while in the early 2000s where nobody cared about him. But now he’s basically universally adored, and dammit, he deserves that.

Yeah, Vonnegut is tough to beat. It’s funny, when *Timequake* came out (his final novel?) came out, the reviews were “meh.”
I read it thinking the whole time “this is great, what are those guys complaining about?!”
