Since I've been taking a really long, unplanned hiatus from FF14 roleplaying scene and content grinding I've started to think about what has Byleth been up to. I've decided on something simple. Since he is a registered adventurer with the guild, he's been away for many jobs!

So I have started to think about this lately, but I have come to realize that I unconsciously made a decision to take a break from FF14. I have played the game almost daily since I got it on PS4 back when SB was the current expansion. I really need to get back into the game again.

I think I can give my personal thoughts on the new Arcadion raid series after running through them a second time later today. I'm feeling hopeful that I will do better this time around.

That dang dancing drog gave me the hardest time for the first run I did this morning. It took me a bit to start reading the mechanics.

Byleth does not easily get attached to people. He tries to gauge another person by their personality, habits, and other qualities to determine if he wants to be their acquaintance/friend. He will spend a lot of time observing.

Crom: He has an axe that was made just for him, and it takes a great level of strength to even lift it up.
Varen: His manifested Echo power lets him predict most incoming attacks.

I got really bored tonight, so I made an attempt at that book trend recently going around.

Byleth primarily has scars on his torso and arms. His background and history as a mercenary and soldier with the Bozjan Resistance have let him have brushes with death a couple of times. The types of scars he has were inflicted by melee weapons like swords and spears.
He brings no attention to them.

Byleth did not develop a dream of his own until after Bozja was liberated. Once it was over, Byleth had the sudden want to explore the world and wanted to become an adventurer to do so. He is now living that new dream of his to the fullest.
I have a #wolqotd. What did your WoL/OC want to be when they grew up? What dream job did they want, and have they achieved it? Or have they given up on it?
Merk wanted to be a carpenter like his mom, and while he has some carpentry skills, Wars put that dream in the trash heap.

Byleth is currently twenty-seven years old. He does not actually know his own age. He and his father never really celebrated his nameday as he grew up. So it's always funny to me when people ask him how old he is, and he tells them, "I don't know. No, really."

I made this on some sort of whim while I was talking to some mutuals on discord about moogle tome farming, and I called them mooglebucks. Then I made this thing for the server.

I had a best friend that I met when I was in highschool. We were friends throughout it and even after school. We moved in together a couple of years later. He was like a brother to me, so when he passed away when we were 24, it really hit me hard. He also played FF after I got him into it. +

As a teenager, Byleth was simply going through the motions in his life. As a child raised in a mercenary group, traveling around southern Ilsabard and Othard, he literally was a child soldier. He was obedient to follow orders. He was given the alias, Ashen Demon, when he was a teen. Pretty telling.

Byleth received practical knowledge from his father and the mercenary company that he grew up in. He learned to read and write. His primary studies were battlefield tactics, combat manuals, and fishing techniques and the best way to cook them.
