Yeah it's definitely odd to cheer for these games getting cancelled.

I do think it is perfectly healthy to expect most of these new projects to never get off the ground. Keeps us from being overly attached to ideas that might never see release.

Nostalgia will always be what people point to when others enjoy older games' designs.

Liking something for nostalgia is a perfectly fine reason. But once a game holds that population and continues to grow you would hope people might think there is something else going on there.

I think I am also going to give Izumi a shot on Uni2. The local Uni2 community is full of just the best people and I am sad I do not see them as much as I should.

For blasting stuff out loud, I used to have a full 7 piece speaker setup on my PC but now we just use JBL portable Bluetooth speakers.

For PC listening when gaming or w/e I use IEMs.

I think I just try my best to be that way. Doesn't always work out that way in reality. It is very tough, wasn't trying to come off as dismissive at all.

By which I mean share the things that make you happy. People are going to think whatever they want regardless of how much you share with them imo.

Younger me would absolutely be hesitant to share things I like for fear of being off putting because once upon a time that happened. But the older me has realized it's cooler to love the things you find meaning in, even if others don't "get it."

I know this doesn't help but I always got weird toxic viewers on my XI streams as a male too. I even got a pm a year after I stopped streaming regularly telling me I was shit at XI.

Just saw this and read your pinned post. It makes me super sad that those communities are being that way. Glad you are finding joy on retail however.

Ah yeah, apologies! I don't have experience with that.

During matches it's just about constantly putting yourself in those situations and getting used to them so you get adrenaline spikes less.

I don't have any advice outside games though my adrenaline spikes make me hype and I get like a runners high.
