Fighting games update:
Granblue: picked Anila and immediately went into ranked. Very fun game, will experiment with more characters.
Strive: Been playing with a friend, also really enjoying. Same story, need to find a character to lock in with.

Even before Evo, I was starting to feel the drive to play fighters again. I miss being part of a community in person. These updates cannot come quicker this month. I am hoping they grab me like I want them to.

This mentality exists in the MMO sphere as well when the "old" way of thinking was to keep strats private.
I think as long as you don't go around bragging about knowing secrets that others don't, keeping strats to yourself is a totally fine way of participating in competition.

It’s become popular in FGs to share all the tricks for your character in the name of “raising the strength of your region” but I don’t think players, especially on mid tiers and lower, have that obligation at all

This would be a risky move but if everyone in Japan could stop playing Gundam EXVS on arcades so they will eventually make a PC version I would appreciate it. Lol

Was kind of hoping with Gundam being at evo Japan we would maybe get a console or PC port announcement. They gotta make the move to home setups eventually
